some of our executives:
President & CEO

Co-founder of Little Planet,
Bill Nelson has 10 years of experience in the director's chair
for productions created by Little Planet. He has worked on
more
than 100 major motion pictures for studios such as Columbia,
Universal, Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox and Paramount. He
is a two-time nominee for Academy Awards in sound for his work
on Warner Bros. films "Lethal Weapon" and "Heartbreak Ridge"
and
has served as producer, director, cinematographer, and actor
for many national commercials, educational films, and documentaries.
Nelson studied English at the University of the South in Sewanee,
Tenn. He received his master's degree of fine arts in cinema
at the University of Southern California. |

For 10 years, Dr. John
D.
Bransford's research, scientific theories and learning principles
have been the foundation on which Little Planet builds its
technology-based
learning programs.
A professor of psychology and education at the University of
Wash., and holder of the James W. Mifflin University Professorship,
Dr. Bransford and his colleagues helped develop an innovative
technology-based learning program to promote literacy. The
Little
Planet Literacy Series has received every major award given
to technology-based curriculum programs.
An expert in human learning, memory, and problem solving, Dr.
Bransford is an internationally renowned scholar of cognition
and technology. He has authored seven books and hundreds of
articles and presentations. Dr. Bransford received his bachelor's
degree in psychology from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minn.,
and holds a doctorate in cognitive psychology, child psychology,
and linguistics from the University of Minnesota.

TJ Zark is a founding member of the Little Planet production team, bringing vision and soul to LPL projects. As pioneer in the field of multimedia and e-Learning, she designed and produced the prototype of the first ever cross-curriculum integrated learning system (ILS), built for Jostens Learning Corporation in the late 80âs.
In nearly 20 years as a producer, Zark has coordinated and synthesized the expertise of top learning specialists from Harvard University, Vanderbilt University and the University of Michigan; produced media and music using artists, filmmakers and musicians in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Nashville and New York; and coordinated content and expertise from sources like the Smithsonian and the National Science Foundation.
Zark has the unique ability to design projects that balance the objectives of a company and the needs of its workforce÷with tight deadlines and firm budgets÷producing products that hit the mark. Her talents as a communicator, visual designer and singer/songwriter round out her contribution to the Little Planet magic.

| Charlie
Cobean spent 20 years in the film business before joining
Little
Planet fulltime in 2000. In addition to the 10 years spent
as a producer and assistant director in Hollywood, he has
written dozens of screenplays and has had his work aired
on CBS and PBS. The recipient of a Samuel Goldwyn Screenwriting
award, he is also a published poet. Cobean has worked
with Little Planet on a part-time and full-time basis for
nine years.
He
studied English at Vanderbilt University and earned his master's
degree of fine arts in cinema at the University of California
at Los Angeles.
